The short answer: In this interview, L.A. Marzulli tells Pastor Chris that the whole biblical story is a seed war that begins in Genesis 3:15, when God declares war between the serpent's seed and the woman's seed. The Nephilim were on the earth before the Flood "and also afterward" (Genesis 6:4), appearing again in the giant clans of Canaan. Yeshua said His return would be like the days of Noah, and Marzulli believes the same corruption of the human seed is being attempted again in our generation. But the cross has already turned the tables.

Did the Nephilim return after the Flood?

Pastor Chris opens this episode of The Shift Connection with a question Scripture itself raises and many are afraid to ask: did the Nephilim really return after the Flood? His guest is L.A. Marzulli, an author and researcher who has spent decades studying the Nephilim, and the goal is not to recycle talking points but to examine the biblical record and discern what is unfolding in this generation.

Saved out of the New Age

Marzulli introduces himself first as a sinner saved by grace. At eighteen, his girlfriend was killed in a car accident, and the question of why God would allow it sent him searching. He spent three years in the New Age movement following a guru, meditating, giving everything away and experimenting with drugs, before realizing it was empty. He spent years in rock bands in Los Angeles, close to record deals.

At thirty, after trying everything, he read a call at the end of a book on the cults and prayed, "I don't know whether You're real or not, but if You are, come into my life." About a month later, he says, it was like the gates of hell breaking. He was being dragged out of the kingdom of darkness, and it did not want to let him go.

Genesis 3:15: the whole Bible in one verse

Marzulli says seminary students are taught the Sethite view of Genesis 6, that the sons of God were simply the godly line of Seth and the daughters of men were the line of Cain. He traces that view to the early church writer Julius Africanus and rejects it. Because it is taught in seminaries, he says, many pastors never see that the entire biblical narrative is a seed war.

It starts in the Garden. After the fall, Adam and Eve hide, terrified, because they know something terrible has happened. And the Lord says to the serpent in Genesis 3:15 that there will be enmity between "your seed and her seed." The One coming from the woman will crush the serpent's head, and the serpent will bruise His heel. "That's it," Marzulli says. "That's the whole Bible."

Pastor Chris adds that he tells pastor friends the church fathers did some good things but also had a Greco-Roman mindset trying to interpret a Hebrew text, and that has produced many of the doctrinal problems we have today.

"And also afterward"

Genesis 6:4 says the Nephilim were on the earth in those days, and also afterward. Some explain that phrase away, but Marzulli insists it means exactly what it says. He rejects the theories that Nephilim survived on the ark or that Ham's wife carried a corrupted seed. Instead, he teaches, the fallen ones simply came back and did the same thing again, and he sees Nimrod and Babel as the place where that gateway was reopened.

He shows how the enemy narrowed his attack as God's promise narrowed. When God told Abraham that all the nations would be blessed through his seed, the serpent knew where the Messiah would come from. That is why Pharaoh suddenly ordered the Hebrew baby boys killed. And when the twelve tribes stood at the entrance of the Promised Land, the enemy still did not know which tribe Messiah would come from, because David had not yet come. So the land was filled with giant clans: the Anakim, the Rephaim, the Emim, the Zamzummim and others that Marzulli believes had been genetically corrupted.

The spies reported in Numbers 13:33 that they saw the Nephilim and seemed like grasshoppers in their own eyes. Marzulli points to the first-century historian Josephus, who wrote that the bones of giants were still being shown in his day.

The cross turned the tables

Marzulli teaches that after Yeshua died, He went to Tartarus, the prison of the fallen angels, to declare His victory: checkmate, it is over. Then He rose from the dead, the firstborn from the dead, the prototype of our own resurrection. The pattern of incursions continued until the cross, and at the cross Yeshua won.

As it was in the days of Noah, so it will be at the coming of the Son of Man.

Yet Yeshua linked His return to the days of Noah (Matthew 24:37). Pastor Chris notes that God promised never to flood the earth again, so what is Yeshua referring to? Marzulli answers that it must be the Nephilim. He believes that today the seed is being mixed again through DNA manipulation, an attempt to create modern hybrids, just as in the days of Noah.

Signs of the season

Pastor Chris asks whether a Nephilim spirit is controlling the world's systems through governments, corporations and banking. Marzulli calls it a mixed bag: not everything has those roots, yet the whole world lies under the sway of the evil one. He walks through Yeshua's warnings: wars and rumors of wars, famines, pestilence, troubled times, men's hearts failing them for fear. "This is exactly where we are."

He also warns about the moment we are entering. With artificial intelligence, the average person can no longer tell what is real from what is fabricated. Governments and the media are talking openly about unidentified aerial phenomena and the idea that we are not alone. Marzulli believes everything is heading toward the man of sin, the son of perdition, and a one-world government, and that deception connected to this phenomenon will play a role. It may not be visible yet, he says, but it can change in a moment.

Pastor Chris also shares a word from his debates with Muslims: many of the lost sheep of the house of Israel, whom Yeshua said He came for, are being awakened by His blood. Yeshua's sacrifice is what brings the tribes back home.

Why this matters for you

The seed war is not an abstract theory. It explains why Pharaoh attacked the firstborn, why Israel faced giants at every turn and why the enemy has always tried to corrupt and destroy the line of promise. It also explains why the cross is the turning point of history: the Seed of the woman crushed the serpent's head, rose from the dead and holds the keys. Discernment is no longer optional, but neither is fear. Those who belong to the risen Messiah stand on the winning side of the war that began in Eden.

Frequently asked questions

Genesis 3:15 declares enmity between the serpent's seed and the woman's seed, fulfilled in Messiah, who crushes the serpent's head. L.A. Marzulli sees this conflict running through the whole biblical story.

The idea that the sons of God were the godly line of Seth rather than angels. Marzulli traces it to Julius Africanus and rejects it.

Marzulli says no. He teaches that the corruption simply happened again after the Flood, as Genesis 6:4 says the Nephilim were on the earth "and also afterward."

In Matthew 24:37 Yeshua linked His return to the days of Noah. Since God promised no more global flood, Marzulli believes it points to the corruption of the human seed seen in Genesis 6.

Scripture names the Anakim, Rephaim, Emim and Zamzummim. The spies said they saw the Nephilim there (Numbers 13:33).
