The UFO Deception: Ancient Gods, Fallen Angels and the Great Lie of the Last Days
The short answer: Pastor Chris teaches that the beings behind the modern UFO phenomenon are not visitors from other planets but the same rebellious spiritual powers the ancient world worshiped as gods (Deuteronomy 32:8–9; Ephesians 6:12). They present themselves as advanced, benevolent guides, but their aim is to draw humanity away from the true God and prepare the world for the great deception of the last days (2 Thessalonians 2:9–12). Yeshua has already disarmed them at the cross (Colossians 2:15), and believers stand against them in His name and His armor.
The return of the gods
This episode completes the series on the fall of Lucifer and the Watchers. Pastor Chris and Josh note that it took three attempts to record, with the audio failing each time in a new professional studio, and they anointed the room and prayed before finishing. They see it as a sign that this message touches a real spiritual battle.
To understand the "gods," go back to Babel. "When the Most High gave to the nations their inheritance, when He separated the children of men, He set the bounds of the peoples according to the number of the sons of God" (Deuteronomy 32:8, following the Dead Sea Scrolls and Septuagint). Israel was the Lord's own portion (32:9). Pastor Chris teaches that these heavenly beings were meant to lead the nations to the Most High, but they took the worship for themselves. Psalm 82 shows God judging them: "You shall die like men" (82:7).
Ancient gods, modern faces
Paul says idols are nothing, but the sacrifices offered to them go to demons (1 Corinthians 10:19–20). Pastor Chris sees the same powers at work today:
Baal, the god of storms and prosperity, whose worship came to include burning children (Jeremiah 19:5). His spirit shows up in greed and materialism.
Asherah, whose groves and fertility rites promoted sexual immorality (2 Kings 23:6–7). Her spirit shows up in pornography and the normalizing of immorality.
Molech, to whom children were passed through the fire (Leviticus 18:21; 2 Kings 23:10). Pastor Chris sees his influence in today's culture of death and abortion.
New Age spirituality, neo-paganism and entertainment that glorifies these deities are not random. They are old worship in modern clothing.
What is really behind UFOs?
Unidentified aerial phenomena are now discussed openly in the U.S. Congress. In public hearings, witnesses have described objects over restricted airspace, craft performing maneuvers no human pilot could survive, and footage of objects entering and leaving the ocean, and some have claimed contact with "non-human" intelligence.
Pastor Chris teaches that whatever hardware may be involved, the spiritual side of the phenomenon is the realm Paul describes: "principalities... powers... the world's rulers of the darkness of this age... spiritual forces of wickedness in the heavenly places" (Ephesians 6:12). Researchers who collect abduction accounts report many cases in which experiences stopped when the person called on the name of Jesus. Demons flee at that name. Visitors from another planet would not.
The message these beings bring is always the same: you can be your own god, guided by ascended masters and higher beings. It is the serpent's lie from Eden (Genesis 3:5), and it echoes the Watchers who corrupted humanity in Genesis 6.
Jesus is not an ascended master. He is the King of kings over every realm.
The great deception
Paul warns that the lawless one will come "with all power and signs and lying wonders," and that those who refused the love of the truth will believe the lie (2 Thessalonians 2:9–11). A world prepared to accept powerful "non-human" saviors is a world prepared for the beast and his global system (Revelation 13). Pastor Chris sees transhumanism and the rush to godlike technology as Babel all over again, and just as God intervened at Babel, He will intervene again.
How to stand
Everything starts with surrender. "Be subject therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you" (James 4:7). Then put on the armor of God every morning (Ephesians 6:13–18):
The belt of truth: knowing God's Word exposes the lies of fallen beings.
The breastplate of righteousness: a righteous life shields you from the accuser.
The shield of faith: faith in God, not in yourself, quenches the fiery darts of doubt and fear (Hebrews 11:6).
The sword of the Spirit: the Word of God, which Yeshua used to defeat Satan in the wilderness (Matthew 4:1–11; Hebrews 4:12).
Prayer: your direct line to the One who gives strength for the battle.
